Rethinking the plan

Had a meeting with Karen, who is also pretty unimpressed with Peter. But we have a game plan. Karen's meeting with the engineer to simplify the plans, she's got new building contacts who we'll get to unofficially tender and we're rethinking some of the interior - like do we need the Japanese bath? (Unlikely) And do we really need 2 bathrooms upstairs? (Hmmm...) Also, the WIR joinery quote was $8k, so maybe something can be done about that too.

Oh no - back to the drawing board?!!

Karen just had a meeting with Peter and the quote is double the budget!!! He'd told us it'd be around $1500/m2, but the quote is well above $2000/m2!

We can't work out why... is he too expensive? does he not want the work? or are we being totally unrealistic with our expectations?

Waiting for a quote...

Still waiting to hear back from Peter on a quote... he's promised us one on Monday.

Soon it'll be crunch time...

Karen contacted Peter, the builder, and we should have a quote by next Wednesday - fingers crossed!
