Application for planning permit lodged!

So this took a little longer than expected... but while we were away in Tropical North Queensland, Karen added her docs to Natasha's docs and posted the planning application to Moreland Council.

And perhaps a little too late, there were a couple of things we were thinking of changing:
  • ensure garage door to Loyola Avenue is sufficiently wide for 2 cars
  • increase western brick boundary wall to front of proposed 'sunroom', instead of lightweight cladding as shown.
  • set north facing windows back (or increase eave overhang) to provide shading from north sun in summer.

In the mean time, it turns out that the title does not recognise Loyola Ave at the back, therefore it cannot be used for car access (and more importantly, a garage). So the long and complicated process of applying for a new folio for the title begins, firstly with getting a duplicate copy of the title from the bank...

The final planning permit plans

A late night meeting with Karen before flying out early the next morning to Cairns. She showed us the final plans which will be submitted to the council - a few minor changes, but nothing significant.
